The Osceola Board of County Commissioners' board meetings are held on the first, second or third Monday of the month. The first and second meeting of the month begins at 1:30 p.m. and the third meeting at 5:30 p.m.

Board meetings are held at the Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Square, 4th floor Commission Chambers in Kissimmee. Meeting agendas are available on the Thursday prior to the Monday meeting.

Due to the pandemic, the annual State of Osceola County address is presented virtually for 2020. Chairwoman Viviana Janer offers an update on the previous year and its challenges as the entire community has been impacted in some way by COVID-19, but notes that in spite of the difficulties, the community's spirit perseveres.

On Thursday, October 15, Osceola County Commissioners announced their support of the Osceola School District with $2.3 million in CARES Act funds for computer equipment, including 3,800 laptops; rapid job training; basic education and language programs.

Every year, Osceola County celebrates our diverse culture by recognizing our colorful and unique Hispanic community during Hispanic Heritage Month, which is celebrated from Sept. 15th to October 15th every year. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the county is unable to celebrate in the tradition of past years.
